The INPS (National Social Security Institute) has announced the beginning of the second phase of the verification of pensioners’ living status for the years 2022-2023 affecting pensioners residing in Europe, Africa and Oceania, with the exception of Scandinavian and Eastern European countries which were already involved in the first phase.

In particular, it is announced that starting from September 2022, Citibank has begun dispatching pensioners’ living status forms lodged by pensioners residing in Europe, Africa and Oceania, certificates to be returned to the bank by 12 January 2023. Should the certificate not be submitted, the payment of the February 2023 installment will take place in cash at the Western Union Agencies. Should the payment not be collected or the pensioners’ living status certificate not be submitted by 19 February 2023, the payment of the pension will be suspended as of the next installment of March 2023.
