The delegation is led by <strong>the Ambassador of Italy to Mozambique, Gabriele Annis<\/strong>, with the participation of <strong>the Head of the AICS Office in Maputo, Fabio Strinati<\/strong>, and <strong>the President of the Mozambique-Italy Chamber of Commerce, Simone Santi<\/strong>. The mission aims to further strengthen the presence and commitment of Sistema Italia in Cabo Delgado Province, promoting greater cooperation with local institutions, communities and the private sector.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>On the first day, the delegation was accompanied by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Caifadine Paulo Manasse<\/strong>, who took part in the delegation\u2019s institutional meetings with the President of the Pemba Municipal Council, <strong>Satar Abdulgani<\/strong>, the Governor of Cabo Delgado Province, <strong>Valige Tauabo<\/strong>, and the Secretary of State of Cabo Delgado Province, <strong>Pl\u00e1cido Nerino Pereira<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The delegation then visited the <strong>IFEPELAC \u2013 Alberto Cassimo Institute for Vocational Training and Labour Studies<\/strong>, accompanied by Minister Manasse, to explore new opportunities for cooperation in the field of technical and vocational training. As Ambassador Annis stated: \u201c<em>The focus on the development of human and professional capital has always been at the heart of Italian Cooperation, and this is an area in which we are stepping up our efforts, together with the Government of Mozambique and with the involvement of Italian companies operating in Mozambique<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dialogue with Italian and Mozambican companies was at the centre of the afternoon\u2019s agenda, with an <strong>entrepreneurial forum organised by the Mozambique-Italy Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>. During the meeting, Minister Manasse recalled that strengthening young people\u2019s skills and creating jobs are priorities for the current Government and also represent an added value for the success of Italian investments in the country. Ambassador Annis recalled that Italy is present in the Province through around 30 companies and is one of the countries investing most heavily in the territory. The Ambassador also underlined the importance of synergy between Italian Cooperation and the private sector, which represents one of the cornerstones of Italy\u2019s engagement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>On the second day of the mission, the delegation participated in the official launch of the CAMBIO programme \u2013 Action for Climate and the Environment in Mozambique for the Integration of Coastal Cities\u2019 Response Plans<\/strong>, funded by Italian Cooperation with a total contribution of two million euros.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme is implemented by a consortium of partners led by <strong>AVSI<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Polytechnic University of Milan<\/strong>, <strong>L\u00fario University (UniL\u00fario)<\/strong>, <strong>E35 \u2013 Foundation for International Planning<\/strong> and the <strong>FACE Association<\/strong>, with the involvement of the Municipalities of Pemba, Ibo and Beira. CAMBIO\u2019s main objective is to strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate change and natural disasters in the cities of Pemba and Beira and on Ibo Island, territories that are particularly exposed to the effects of extreme climate events.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to <strong>Ambassador Annis<\/strong>, \u201c<em>Cabo Delgado is a territory of particular importance for Italy, where the presence of major Italian companies, such as Eni, goes hand in hand with the growing commitment of Italian Cooperation to the sustainable development of the Province.
