{"id":13087,"date":"2026-06-12T13:24:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T11:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambmaputo.esteri.it\/?p=13087"},"modified":"2026-06-19T11:11:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T09:11:01","slug":"2nd-edition-of-the-scholarships-program-italy-runs-towards-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambmaputo.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/06\/2nd-edition-of-the-scholarships-program-italy-runs-towards-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd Edition of the scholarships program \u201cItaly runs towards the future\u201d."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scholarships for Italian-taught Master\u2019s Degree Courses in &#8220;Sports Science and Technology&#8221; and &#8220;Sports Management&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During the last academic year, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Roma \u201cForo Italico\u201d one of the most prestigious institutions for scientific research and academic training in the field of movement and sports sciences, launched the 1st edition of the scholarship program \u201cItaly runs towards the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The program provides scholarships to young student-athletes from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Angola<\/li>\n<li>Ethiopia<\/li>\n<li>Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Kenya<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mozambique<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Senegal<\/li>\n<li>South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Tanzania<\/li>\n<li>Uganda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>to attend, by the student&#8217;s choice, to Master\u2019s degree course in &#8220;Sports Sciences and Techniques&#8221; or &#8220;Sports Management.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2nd Edition \u2013 Call for Applications A.Y. 2026-2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the 2026-2027 academic year, the MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) will offer up to a maximum of 20 scholarships worth \u20ac9,000 each. These will last for 9 months, starting from October 1, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Each winner may apply to renew the scholarship for the second year of study through a specific call for applications that will be published during the 2026-27 academic year, provided they have obtained at least 36 university credits (CFU) by September 30, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the 2nd edition of the program are open from June 3, 2026, until June 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Rome time).<\/p>\n<p>The application procedures are outlined in Art. 5 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/2026_Bando_borse_SPORT_def.pdf\">CALL FOR APPLICATIONS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the courses, please visit the following pages on the \u201cForo Italico\u201d University website:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sports Sciences and Techniques: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uniroma4.it\/index.php\/piano-di-studi-lm47\/\">https:\/\/www.uniroma4.it\/index.php\/piano-di-studi-lm47\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Sports Management: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uniroma4.it\/index.php\/piano-di-studi-lm68\/\">https:\/\/www.uniroma4.it\/index.php\/piano-di-studi-lm68\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>1st Edition \u2013 Renewals A.Y. 2026-2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scholarship holders from the 1st edition of the program (2025-2026 edition) who wish to continue their studies in the 2026-2027 academic year may apply to renew their scholarship for the second year of study. To do so, they must have passed exams corresponding to at least 36 university credits by September 30, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>By that date, interested applicants must send their application to the email <a href=\"mailto:concorsi.ammissione@uniroma4.it\">concorsi.ammissione@uniroma4.it<\/a> , accompanied by a copy of their passport and a transcript of the exams taken.<\/p>\n<p>When applying for the scholarship renewal, the student must also submit an internship project.
