The Embassy actively collaborates with the local\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dantemaputo\/\">Dante Alighieri Association<\/a>\u00a0which offers PLIDA certified Italian courses and participates in cultural initiatives with a view to synergistic collaboration. Finally, the teaching of Italian is present at the Diocesan Seminary of Pius X and at the S\u00e3o Tom\u00e1s University as a curricular course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cultural events and thematic weeks<\/strong><br \/>\nEach year the Embassy organizes various cultural events: the Italian Film Festival in May; the Week of the Italian language in October, together with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dantemaputo\/\">Dante Alighieri Association<\/a>; the Italy-Mozambique Jazz Festival also in October; the Week of Italian Cuisine in November in collaboration with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.it\/it\/mercati\/mozambico\">ICE Office &#8211; Maputo Agency<\/a>\u00a0and with Italian and local operators in the sector; film reviews with Italian films, also as part of the European Film Festival, with the Embassies of the European Union countries in Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarships for Mozambican students<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Embassy disseminates information concerning\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.esteri.it\/mae\/it\/ministero\/servizi\/stranieri\/opportunita\/borsestudio_stranieri.html\">scholarships from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/a>\u00a0and the various study opportunities in Italy offered by public and private universities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Italian language and culture in Mozambique The promotion of the Italian language and culture develops along the following lines: Teaching The &#8220;Giovanni Falcone&#8221; private Italian school is active in Maputo, with about a hundred pupils from kindergarten and primary school.
