The Italian Embassy in Maputo is responsible for Mozambique, Eswatini and Botswana and maintains official relations with their respective governments. Its main tasks include the protection of the interests of Italy and its citizens and the development of political, economic, social and cultural relations with these three countries.<\/p>\n
The Embassy has coordination functions over the other Italian Offices present in the territory of its competence (the Maputo headquarters of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, the ICE Office, the Honorary Consulate in Mbabane, Eswatini\u00a0and the Honorary Vice-Consulate\u00a0in Gaborone, Botswana, the Dante Alighieri Association in Maputo, the “Giovanni Falcone” Italian School in\u00a0Maputo).<\/p>\n
Finally, the Embassy supervises the work of the VFS Global company based in Maputo, responsible for receiving requests for entry visas for Italy and requests for legalization of documents.<\/p>\n
