The Consular Section of the Embassy provides assistance to Italian citizens who find themselves in difficulty during their stay in Mozambique, Eswatini or Botswana. The compatriots in Eswatini can contact the Honorary Consulate in Mbabane for initial assistance, while those in Botswana can contact the Honorary Vice-Consulate in Gaborone. Possible interventions include assistance to detainees and those under arrest, financial assistance, assistance in case of theft or loss of documents, assistance in finding compatriots, repatriation.
Furthermore, pursuant to the current provisions, the consular office can also provide assistance - for specific interventions - to citizens of the European Union.
