The Embassy of Italy in Mozambique comprises of a chancellery, a commercial office, an I.C.E. office, a cooperation office and a residence of the Italian Ambassador in Maputo.
The chancellery, which includes both the diplomatic and consular sectors, is located in a two-storey building dating back to the early seventies, surrounded by a garden with lushly foliage trees characteristic of the local flora.
The main entrance overlooks Avenida Kenneth Kaunda, an airy and elegant street in the Sommerschield residential suburb where most of the accredited diplomatic representations in Mozambique are located. The Cooperation Office is also in the same area in a side street behind the Chancellery.
The Ambassador's residence, also located in the Sommerschield suburb, is a two-storey villa built in the last years of the colonial period.
